Papo & Yo is a quiet game , but it's telling a story contains lots of strong emotions and deep feelings , it needs us to pay a little bit attention to listen and find out .
In the begining , everything looked so peaceful , brought me some kind of calmness . As I was going deeper , I couldn't help realizing that Quico has been bearing a lot , that he must protect the ones he loves , help the one who hurts him......that I must help Quico to fix all of this . I think this is the main reason I continued playing .
We all make mistakes , grown-up might have a childish immature heart , doing irrational things that only hurt oneself and others , while a little one might have the strongest soul . It doesn't matter how much time that one has been living , what matters the most is that we have the ability to help each other .
So I thought the game is about saving an angry monster , and I believed I'd done so . But in the end , I realized there's something beyond salvation . I played as Quico , had to do the final steps by myself , all the conflicts within was about to explode . When it's done , we might understand something .
Papo & Yo is a beautiful story , and the story has been being told beautifully . The art is gorgeous in it's own way , very bright and colorful , lighting up the dim raining days , along with the music , creating an exotic world that you want to stay and explore , the ending song is very touching . Lots of elements in the game are symbolic , but it isn't hard to understand , instead , finding out the meaning of these elements by continue playing makes the game more fascinating and engaging .
Another thing I love about this game is the level designs . The puzzles are so brilliant and inspiring , you solving them by interacting with the imaginative environment . These two parts are blending in with each other beautifully , for several times I was just "Wow" . But every time the monster was in madness , the whole world was immersed in red color , it felt really uncomfortable . And I admit I'm scared of the mad monster , when I was being chased , I could hardly see myself because the monster was so big . The game is a little bit short though , It only took me 4.6h to finish , but I didn't find all the hats , it might be a glitch because I couldn't wear any of them .
Papo and Yo is not a perfect game , but it's beautiful and good enough , I strongly recommend it !!!
