Graphic: Within the criterion of JRPG, this is just top notch. Generally, not so good. Especially during Skirmish mode and while in world map, realistic style stage/background seems a bit off with the cartoonish rendered characters.
Art/HUD: If you love Hayao Miyazaki, it's must buy then. HUD is lovely yet carefully designed that not only it looks aesthetic but also functioning effectively.
Music: It's boring and repetitive, BGM borings a lot from previous entry. This is the most lame part of the game, sadly. UPDATE: Alright, the BGM at Hydropolis is really cool...
Sound: Meh
Voice: Well the actually English dubbed part is very well performed, that's to say, better than most English dubbed JRPG. But most of the lines are without voices so...
Technique: Wait, is this really ported to PC by a Japanese devs? lmao. Super smooth in 4k Maxed out. My chip is only 45 celcius degree. Camera is comfortable while in combat. Some weird edge behavior due to mediocre physics engine.
Level Design/Mechanism There is a Skirmish mode, a city management mode, puzzle solving and some other interesting elements. Though the consistency suffers a little bit.
Combat Real-time ✓; Flashy-fancy moves ✓; Lots of combos/skills/weapon choices ✓; Team fight ✓; Higgledies ✓; Hit feedback ✓; Intense pace ✓; Difficulties non-existant. Best part of the game. And the main reason I bought it. It lacks challenges though, probably because the AI teammates are really good(they can perform moves that I cannot do when I am in control wtf). Control feels cozy even with a mouse and a keyboard. Level-5 not a Japanese developer confirmed.
Story/Characters Characters looks just adorable. I'm not a weeaboo, ♥♥♥♥ off. But admittedly, I don't see much development in their personalities. It's being said that campaign is about 25-30 hr length. The plotting has an 'Explosive' opening lmao. And I've heard that there is a twisting ending which makes all the sense of the game. But so far nothing much to say.
Gonna update while progressing in the game. Worth a try even if you are not into JRPG before like me.
